Stumpgrinding

A stump grinder is a specialised machine which grinds out a stump after a tree is removed allowing the area to be reused and replanted. Other reasons to have a stump ground include replanting, level changes for paving etc, structural problems, aesthetic values and also to reduce the possiblity of termites.

A stumpgrinding machine uses tungsten teeth. Abbott Trees has a range of machines to suit different situations. Our smallest machine, for example, can be carried through a house and is able to remove small stumps with difficult access.
